Hands that knot and stitch

Cozy Knot is a small studio working with two fiber crafts. Each piece is made slowly, one knot or stitch at a time, and shaped by the natural materials it is made from.

Macramé holds its shape through tension. Each square knot is pulled firm, so a piece keeps its form and stands on its own. Hand knitting works the other way, with loops that drape and give, softening the lines of a piece.

Bringing the two together in one studio means each craft informs the other. A knotted cord can frame a knitted panel, and a soft stitch can balance a firm, geometric weave.

We work with unbleached cotton, linen cord, and wool. Each fiber keeps its natural tone and texture, so the warm beige and oatmeal shades you see are the material itself, not added dye.

Textured wools are picked for their softness and loft. To care for a piece, shake it out gently, air it away from direct sun, and hand wash cool when needed so the knots and stitches keep their shape.
